High School
High school at GCA combines traditional in-person instruction in the core subjects of English Language Arts, History, and Science with online Math instruction through Liberty University Online Academy. This combination allows us to customize each student’s learning to his or her individual needs. The goal is to raise godly men and women, building up warriors for Christ who will become difference makers for the Kingdom of God.
The School Day is 8:00 AM – 3:15 PM.

What is LUOA?
In the subject of math and with elective options, GCA is partnering with Liberty University Online Academy’s affiliate program to offer “The best of home school, private school, and Bible based education all rolled into one,” as Liberty so well states. This model is different from a traditionally structured high school in that enrolling at GCA through the LUOA affiliate program allows students to gain college credits throughout their high school career while having access to daily in-person instruction with GCA teachers and online instruction through Liberty University.
Students will learn and engage with other high school students, have access to certified teachers in the classroom, and engage with their peers through enrichments provided by GCA, such as Art and P.E. Students will have the opportunity to play GCA sports, be involved in after school activities and be given opportunities for involvement in community service projects to enrich Cornelius and the surrounding communities.
