Michele has loved teaching for thirty years with the North Carolina Public School System in Lincoln County. She received her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Western Carolina University, and a master’s degree in elementary education from Winthrop University. Retiring from public school teaching, Michele joined the GCA staff in 2009. Michele has taught kindergarten, first, second, and third grade. She has more than twenty years experience in second grade.
Michele and her husband, Tommy, have four sons: Brandon, Josh, Cole, and Brett. Their family life keeps them very busy. They attend Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Cornelius where they have been active members for over twenty-five years.
Michele is thrilled to be able to continue her teaching career at Grace Covenant Academy. She feels God has blessed her by leading her to GCA. She looks forward to being able to teach children and watch them grow academically, socially, physically, and most importantly, spiritually. She is enthusiastic and excited about the coming year. She can’t wait to provide a fun, active-learning, spiritually-filled classroom for her students.
