Amy Yon graduated from Southeastern University in 2002 with a BS in Pre-K/Primary Education.  She has been actively involved in various areas of children’s ministry since she was a teenager.   She has a passion for seeing children grow, not only academically & socially, but most importantly spiritually. 

Amy and her husband, Jason, have two precious children – Jayden and Aubrey.  And Jason has been a Children’s pastor at Grace Covenant Church for 9 years.  Together, their passion is to partner with parents; encouraging and resourcing parents in their spiritual journey with their children.

Amy is excited to begin her second year on the GCA teaching team for the 2012-13 school year!  She is looking forward to both teaching about and experiencing God’s love in the classroom.  Her passion is to make learning fun and experiential for her students.

Favorite Bible verse: Deuteronomy 6:5-8 “Love God, your God, with your whole heart: love him with all that’s in you, love him with all you’ve got! Write these commandments that I’ve given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children. Talk about them wherever you are, sitting at home or walking in the street; talk about them from the time you get up in the morning to when you fall into bed at night. Tie them on your hands and foreheads as a reminder; inscribe them on the doorposts of your homes and on your city gates.”
