This will be Mary Wolyniak's ninth year at GCA.  She has taught Pre-K, kindergarten, physical education, and served as a teacher assistant.  She has two undergraduate college degrees: a BA in psychology (with a core study in developmental/child psychology) and a BS in nursing.  Mary completed her course work in May 2010 in the graduate program for Elementary Education at East Carolina University.

Mary's husband, Joseph, is a physician in Charlotte.  Together they have four children ages 29, 26, 23 and 15. 

Mary has a passion for making everyday learning fun. She seeks to enable each child to succeed by recognizing their individual gifts.  Mary sees each student as a miracle in progress. 

Favorite Bible verse: Psalm 3:3~"But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high."
