Welcome to Grace Covenant Academy

Established in 2001

Grace Covenant Academy, located in the Lake Norman area, is a private Christian school with Biblical values, comprehensive academics, and exceptional educators.  It is an exciting place to learn! GCA’s growth, in all areas, has resulted from a commitment to provide a place where children develop eagerness for learning in a dynamic Christ-centered environment.

GCA is located on the campus of Grace Covenant Church at Exit 25 on I-77 in Cornelius, NC.

Within this website, you'll see some of the activities at GCA. Although it would be impossible to capture every day in print, we love to share special times with you, friends and family. While browsing the pages of our gallery, our family bulletin board, teachers' webdesks, we hope you'll see a God-honoring, fun-filled, excellent place of education. Prospective families are invited to call and schedule a visit to our campus at Grace Covenant Church. The Director loves sharing the history, mission, and vision of Grace Covenant Academy! Please accept our invitation by calling the academy office at 704-892-5601.

Enrichment Teachers

Library: K-5th Grade

StewartBeth Stewart

We have been learning so much in Library Enrichment this year, and there is still so much to come. The Lord has blessed GCA with a wonderful library to use and enjoy! We’ll be discussing book care, research skills, and different authors and genres. We will also learn how to find specific books and materials and how to use them effectively. We’ll be talking about the Dewey Decimal System and book awards such as the Newbery and Caldecott medals. In November, we celebrated literacy and welcomed celebrity readers Author and Pastor Jerel Law, Cornelius Mayor Jeff Tarte, Mr. Harpman and Mrs. Goodwin. Students created bookmarks, and we voted for our favorites during the Design-a-Bookmark contest. The 1st Place bookmarks are being distributed in the library. Our book fair at Barnes and Noble in November was great fun and helped us to raise funds for the library. The Birthday Book Club is also a great way to contribute to the GCA Library collection while also honoring a student’s birthday. Thank you to those that have already made a donation.
